How would I use gift cards to buy ebooks?

I have a Nook and I have a Barnes & Noble gift card. How would I use the gift card on my Nook to purchase ebooks?

All you need to do is add the gift card to your B&N account and when you buy an eBook, either online or from the nook, the gift card will get charged first. You can have up to 3 cards associated to your account at one time.
